The Fremont City Council on Tuesday will consider ordinance amendments designed to open the door to more home-based businesses and home offices.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Municipal Building, preceded by a 6:45 p.m. study session.
The proposed amendments appeared before the Fremont Planning Commission on Sept. 15, but commissioners narrowly opposed them, voting 4-3 to recommend disapproval of an amendment that would have created separate code definitions for home based-businesses and home occupations, and failing to bring to a vote two ensuing amendments that would have regulated them.
