I HAD the honour of representing all or large parts of the council ward now called 'Moor View'. For more than two decades I never had nor needed, a 'private' office within the Civic Centre. So I am somewhat concerned of the bizarre claims of Councillor Casey that she is being refused the use of a room to do her job.
There is, or should be, a general purpose room called surprisingly, the members' room, where elected members can sit down in relative quiet if they have urgent material to read.
It was in my day, also used for a large number of meetings, mainly during the evening. Both the leader of the council and the shadow leader, need office resources and most likely get them.
